THE 14TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SPORTS AND EXERCISE SCIENCE (ICSES 2026)

THE 12TH ASIAN CONFERENCE ON PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORT (ACPES)

October 14–16, 2026 | Bangkok, Thailand

“ACTIVE LIVING FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE:

Integrating AI in Sports Science, Physical Education, Recreation, and Holistic Health”

Welcome Message from the Dean

Distinguished Colleagues, Esteemed Researchers, and Valued Participants,

On behalf of the Faculty of Physical Education, Sport, and Health at Srinakharinwirot University, it is my profound honor and pleasure to welcome you to the 14th International Conference on Sports and Exercise Science (ICSES 2026) and the 12th Asian Conference on Physical Education and Sport (ACPES), to be held from October 14 to 16, 2026, in Bangkok, the vibrant capital of the Kingdom of Thailand.

Thailand stands today at a defining crossroads. As a nation with a rich heritage of physical culture from the ancient art of Muay Thai to the discipline of traditional games deeply woven into our communities, we are now embracing a bold new vision: one in which scientific innovation, artificial intelligence, and evidence-based practice converge to transform sport, physical education, and public health for the benefit of all citizens. Our government has articulated a clear national agenda to leverage sport as a vehicle for sustainable development, social inclusion, and the well-being of an ageing yet increasingly active population. This conference is both a reflection and an extension of that aspiration.

Under the theme “Active Living for a Sustainable Future: Integrating AI in Sports Science, Physical Education, Recreation, and Holistic Health,” ICSES 2026 and ACPES provide a unique interdisciplinary platform where the boundaries between exercise physiology, biomechanics, sport psychology, sport management, public health, and digital technology dissolve in the pursuit of shared knowledge. We have assembled a distinguished programme featuring world-class keynote speakers, thought-provoking symposia, and rigorous oral and poster presentation sessions that span the full breadth of our discipline.

This year’s programme is particularly significant. Our keynote sessions feature internationally renowned scholars whose work is reshaping the frontiers of exercise medicine, neuroscience of motor performance, training load monitoring, and sport governance across Asia. Our symposia address some of the most pressing questions of our time: How can exercise function as cellular medicine against aging and disease? How is Asia emerging as a new center of gravity in global sport governance and soft power? How can AI-driven technologies revolutionize health monitoring and athlete development? These are not merely academic questions; they are imperatives for policy, practice, and the lives of millions.

From the Thai perspective, we see this conference as a catalyst for accelerating the development of our national sport science ecosystem. Thailand has made remarkable strides in recent years: hosting major international sporting events, investing in sport science centres, expanding university programs in exercise and sport, and developing a Long-Term Athlete Development framework adapted to our unique cultural and demographic context. Yet we are candid about the challenges that remain: the need for greater research capacity, stronger governance structures, better integration of sports science into grassroots coaching, and more equitable access to physical activity for all segments of our diverse society. We believe that international collaboration, of the kind this conference fosters, is indispensable to overcoming these challenges.

Bangkok, as our host city, offers more than a magnificent conference venue. It is a city where tradition and modernity coexist in dynamic harmony, a fitting metaphor for the kind of scholarship we seek to promote: grounded in rigorous science yet responsive to the cultural, social, and human dimensions of sport and physical activity. We warmly encourage you to experience the hospitality, cuisine, and spirit of Thailand during your stay.

Whether you are presenting original research, chairing a session, participating in a workshop, or attending as an observer eager to learn, you are an essential part of this scholarly community. Your presence enriches our discourse, challenges our assumptions, and inspires the next generation of researchers and practitioners who will carry this work forward.

I invite you to engage fully, to ask bold questions, to forge new collaborations across borders and disciplines, and to leave Bangkok with both the knowledge and the connections that will propel your work to greater impact. Together, let us advance the science of sport and exercise for the health and well-being of our communities, our nations, and our shared future.

Welcome to ICSES 2026 and ACPES. Welcome to Bangkok. Welcome to the future of sport and exercise science in Asia and beyond.

With warmest regards,

Asst.Prof. Tanormsak Senakham
